Teaching Statement: 

As a Black Woman, emerging Black Artist, and Activist, I am poetically driven to engage performance spaces that voice narratives centered around Black Womanhood.  As a Black Educator, it is my responsibility to purposefully engage storytelling through movement spaces  where movers are encouraged to engage with themselves and the community through movement.

Dunham Inspired Workshop: 

Students will be introduced to the movement vocabulary of Katherine Dunham, a scholar and dance pioneer. At the conclusion of the workshop, they will be able to execute several basic and intermediate exercises in Dunham Technique.
